Masato Tanaka Speaks Out

Masato Tanaka stated yesterday that winning the Fire Festival on Saturday was a crowning achievement in his career especially after wrestling the final match with a separated shoulder which had to be reset two times during the match by Yoshito Sasaki. Tanaka said that he would work through the injury and that ZERO-ONE needs him right now and he wouldn’t let them down. Tanaka said that the Fire Festival sword has been called the Shinjiro Otani sword lately because of his dominance in the Fire Festival but now it would be known as the Emblem sword because they will dominate together. Tanaka then segued into talking about Emblem reforming on 8/25 to face Real Wild Child (Manabu Nakanishi & Takao Omori) at Korakuen Hall for the NWA Intercontinental Tag Titles, which as Tanaka said that Emblem made famous. Otani joined Tanaka at this time and said that Emblem would bring the belts back to Z1 and that they aren’t even interested in the IWGP Interim Tag Titles that RWC also hold right now.
