Another Mistico Update

EMLL Doctor Mario Garcia Orosco stated today that he thinks that Mistico should take the time he needs to rest his shoulder but he won’t listen to him and continues to work. Dr. Orosco said that Mistico’s shoulder is still only 75% and the more wear and tear he puts on it will only hurt in more in the long run. Dr. Orosco went on to say that if Mistico keeps this up then surgery will be a definite.

Los Villanos Glad To Be Back In EMLL

Los Villanos commented to Ovaciones today about their return to EMLL saying that they’ve been away from the scene for a while but are ready to return and that there is a wealth of talent now between High Society, Los Guerreros del Atlantida, Los Perros del Mal, et al. They think that the reaction they received from the fans on the Luchas 2000 show at Arena Mexico on 5/5 helped make up the minds of the powers that be to bring them back on a semi-regular basis. Villano IV said that he has another thing in mind and that is to get revenge against Atlantis for taking his brother Villano III’s mask on 3/17/00 and plans on facing Atlantis throughout the month of June in matches.

Fujinami Thinks Arashi Still Has To Prove Himself

MUGA President Tatsumi Fujinami stated today that he doesn’t think Arashi will be working on the next MUGA tour because he still doesn’t know if he is sincere with his apologies yet and he still has a lot to prove.

Mr. Niebla Suspended Indefinitely

The latest issue of El Halcon is reporting that the main reason why Psicosis was turned last week in AAA was because of Mr. Niebla’s indefinite suspension from AAA for disciplinary reasons which aren’t known right now.

Togi Makabe Is Angry

Togi Makabe stated today that unless New Japan President Naoki Sugehayashi named him the challenger for Yuji Nagata’s IWGP Heavyweight Title match on 7/6 at Korakuen Hall, he would go on a rampage during the Best of the Super Juniors tour. Makabe said that he would make Nagata bleed every chance he gets and would take the focus off of the BOSJ all together saying that he would hold it “hostage” until he gets his shot.

Keiji Muto Wants A Seniors League

All-Japan President Keiji Muto announced today that he wants to start a Masters League in All-Japan where only wrestlers over the age of 50 could compete against each other. Muto said that the charm that these guys have is missing in today’s pro wrestling and that he wants to bring it back to All-Japan to blend in with the current style. Muto said that the baby boomer generation doesn’t forget their heroes and bringing them back to All-Japan could bring the fans that have been staying at home back to the arenas to see their heroes. Muto said that there isn’t a timetable yet on when this could start but he hopes it will be soon.

Arashi Wants In MUGA Bad

Arashi stated today that he is ready for MUGA to let him become a full member of their roster but it looks like that might not happen. Arashi said that he has been travelling along with MUGA helping them put up the ring and doing things to help them at shows out of his own pocket to prove to MUGA that he has paid his dues for his arrest on marijuana possession. Arashi said that Tatsumi Fujinami still hasn’t given him a clear answer on if he would wrestle for MUGA but is ready for it when it happens.

Steve Corino Calls Out Yoshihiro Tajiri

Steve Corino stated today that he is looking forward to his match against Yoshihiro Tajiri tomorrow at Korakuen Hall but has noticed lately that Tajiri is basically living off his WWE reputation and wants their match to be something special. Corino said that he wants the Tajiri that competed in ECW from 1999-2001 not the WWE version and that since this might be the last time they face in the ring, he wants Tajiri to take himself back in time and give the fans a taste of how ECW used to be.

Kurt Angle Calls Out Brock Lesnar

Kurt Angle called out Brock Lesnar today in an email sent to the Japanese press basically begging Brock Lesnar to face him on the IGF debut show at Sumo Hall on 6/29. Angle said that he wants Lesnar to put his IWGP Heavyweight Title belt on the line because if anyone wants to compete in the IGF they must be strong fighters because weak ones should not apply.

Mistico Gives Injury Update

Mistico talked to ESTO today and said that he around 80-85% physically but his left arm still gives him problems and can’t raise it all the way. Mistico said that he still might have to have surgery but that will only be as a last resort.

New Japan announced today that Jado has an injury to his left hip and will withdraw his name from the Best of the Super Juniors tournament and will be replaced by Tetsuya Naito.

Shinjiro Otani Talks Fire Festival

ZERO-ONE President Shinjiro Otani said today that he is ready for Kohei Sato on Sunday at Korakuen Hall and the match takes on a whole new meaning now that a spot in the Fire Festival is on the line. Otani said that the Fire Festival is his creation and he is a 2-time winner of the samurai sword trophy that comes along with it, so even with his concussion that he suffered against Takao Omori two weeks ago, he is ready for Sato. Sato has said recently that he would send Otani to the hospital after their match on Sunday and Otani said that if that happens it happens but he would still defeat him. Otani said that the sword has been crying to him lately about coming back to its rightful owner so he has to make the sword happy.

Hiroshi Tanahashi started his training session for returning to the ring around the G1 Climax and says that he will come back better than ever. Minoru Suzuki Returns To Japan

Triple Crown Champ Minoru Suzuki returned to Japan today from his 2 week long trip to Mexico and was told of what All-Japan Director Masa Fuchi said about the status of the Triple Crown and that they want to strip Suzuki because he refuses to defend against Keiji Muto. Suzuki said that he would give them the Triple Crown only if they would come to his house and take them from him and Suzuki went on to tell Fuchi that he better bring the whole roster with him.

Perro Aguayo Jr. visited the EMLL doctors on Friday and got a second opinion on his knee and they decided that a scope on his knee would be necessary for him and not complete surgery. This procedure would only mean that Perrito would be out of action for around 3 months, which is half the time that would’ve happened with a surgery.

Perro Aguayo Jr. Tears ACL

Perro Aguayo Jr. tore his ACL in his right knee while doing some activities for his reality show that he is part of right now on Mexican television and will be out of action for at the least 6 months. This reality show called Los 5 Magnificos has made Perrito a huge star in Mexico and he was probably about to get an even bigger push in EMLL but that will change.
