2. El Samurai & Ryusuke Taguchi defeated Tetsuya Naito & Minoru Tanaka in 12:46 when Taguchi used the Dodon on Naito.
3. Shiro Koshinaka & Togi Makabe beat Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano in 12:11 when Koshinaka used a powerbomb on Ishii.
4. Akebono & Riki Choshu defeated Black Strong Machine & Giant Bernard in 9:59 when Akebono used a running body press on Machine.
5. G1 Climax – Block B: Yuji Nagata [2] beat Naofumi Yamamoto [0] in 10:28 with an armlock. Yamamoto said after the match that Nagata beat him up so bad that he can’t remember most of the match but hopes to grow to Nagata’s level one day and lead New Japan.
6. G1 Climax – Block A: Satoshi Kojima [2] defeated Jushin Thunder Liger [0] in 14:09 with a lariat. Kojima said that Liger was amazing after the match calling him a true pro wrestler.
