NOAH 9/9 Results

NOAH 9/9 – Nippon Budokan Hall drawing 15,500 fans (G+)
1. Mushiking Terry beat Atsushi Aoki in 12:13 with the Myst Crash.
2. Ace Steel/Joe E. Legend/Scorpio defeated Masao Inoue/Kishin Kawabata/Akitoshi Saito in 14:28 when Legend used the A.D.D. (modified reverse STO) on Kawabata. Kawabata stated after the match that he wants to be the first challenger for Kentaro Shiga’s newly won GHC Hardcore Openweight Title.
3. Naoki Sano & SUWA beat Tamon Honda & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi in 10:02 when SUWA used the FFF on Kikuchi. SUWA said after the match that Makoto Hashi & Tsutomu Hiranayagi are returning to action next month and he is challenging them to a tag match because of his grudges with both of them especially Hiranayagi who SUWA put out of action with a broken jaw.
4. Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Kentaro Shiga defeated Yoshinori Ota & Mohammed Yone in 15:10 when Kanemaru used the Touch Out on Ota. Shiga stated after the match that it was tough to use his Punch Brother tactics on Yone because of his powerful afro and when asked about Kawabata’s challenge he said he had no problem with it.
5. KENTA & Katsuyori Shibata beat Go Shiosaki & Akira Taue in 14:29 when KENTA pinned Shiosaki after the Touch the Sky. Shibata said after the match that he wants a singles match against Taue.
6. Mitsuharu Misawa & Yoshinari Ogawa defeated Bison Smith & Keith Walker in 12:47 when Misawa pinned Walker after a union Emerald Frosion.
7. Wild II (Takeshi Morishima & Takeshi Rikio) beat Takashi Sugiura & Yoshihiro Takayama in 22:55 when Rikio used the Muso on Sugiura.
8. GHC Heavyweight Title: Naomichi Marufuji defeated Jun Akiyama in 27:29 with the Perfect Inside Cradle to win the title. Marufuji went up to Misawa who was doing color commentary for the match afterwards and thanked him for being a mentor to him and wants to make his first defense in Japan against him on 10/29 at Nippon Budokan Hall. Marufuji dedicated the win for his 2 month old son saying that he was going to go home after the show and hold his son with his belt.
